Review Appletree APPLESLICE V4

Highlights of this video:

Sawyer: “The extra light factor is going to go a long way. It’s a lot more narrow, so you get extra turnability and you’re not going to dig your rails if you’re getting radical on your turns. The nose has more rocker, so it wants to take off easier, and it’s not going to nosedive on you. Overall, it’s a bit more advanced construction to get your performance up.”

Sawyer: “Super efficient and extra turnability. The nose is a bit more bubbled so it’s not going to nosedive on you. It’s not going to be as frustrating.”

Bas: “I rode all the other versions as well and the V4 is definitely much lighter. I really like the shape, it is a huge improvement. Because it’s more narrow, it carves way better in the waves. It pops up easier and even if you touch the water, it basically gives you a little kick out again. Yeah, I’m in love.”

Bas: “It carves way better in the waves. Even if you touch the water, it basically gives you a little kick out again. Absolutely amazing session.”

Please note the following corrections:

4:23 Rich mentions the hot coat was replaced with a spray finish. To clarify, Appletree have actually upgraded the epoxy resin to Coat 25. It’s still applied as a traditional hot coat, but is lighter, more scratch-resistant, and highly durable. More on that on our Youtube channel.

5:24 A quick correction on volume range: the correct sizing runs from 50L to 115L.

REVIEW APPLESLICE PRONE

Highlights of this video:

”The Apple Slice Prone is an absolutely killer shape. It gives you a very supportive platform that makes it easy to keep the board on the water without diving the nose, which is really beneficial when paddling into a wave or riding smaller foils. It feels really, really good when the board interacts with the surface.”

Construction:

“What I love is the closed-cell foam; having a construction where a ding doesn’t mean you need to end your session is a huge plus. These things are built super solid. I’ve cracked a rail before and kept it in the water with absolutely no issues. I have no questions that this board will hold up.”

“Being so thin, it feels very good under my feet; I’m super close to the foil which gives you a more connected feeling. It’s definitely one of the easiest boards I’ve ever tried for jumping. It’s a sweet shape and I’m extremely impressed with how it feels on the water.”

REVIEW ZAPPLE

Highlights of this video:

“It’s mad how quickly it takes off. It’s off like a rocket and makes the whole start more forgiving. It lets you drop down a foil size from where you were because everything is getting more powerful and more efficient. As far as I’m concerned, it’s as well made as a board gets.”  Rich & Chris

“The trench design brings the whole mast closer to your feet and makes your steering inputs far more sensitive; it really electrifies the ride. Also, because the nose is built out of S-Glass, the transmission is completely perfect the whole time. It’s a massive improvement.” Rich

“This thing has taken an absolute kicking and it still looks pretty much perfect. With the closed cell foam and vacuum infused construction, it’s extremely stiff and built super solid. If you’re looking for more performance, it’s a very worthy investment.” Chris
